    The position of Senior Systems Engineer - Data Center Operations will report to the SaaSIO Manager – Data Center Operations.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Manage physical and virtual environments at scale
    • Work closely with a cross-functional team of Network, Security and DevOps engineers to meet business objectives (technical and financial)
    • Provide technical leadership in support of storage, compute and networking services to ensure 99.99% uptime
    • Designs the necessary infrastructure to support monitoring, problem identification, and resolution for the IT infrastructure, associated components, and monitoring tools.
    • Provides expert operational support and performs advanced technical functions as needed.
    • Troubleshoots complex server issues, determines and documents root cause, and implements solutions.
    • Proactively identifies and remedy risks in infrastructure environment.
    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and management

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of experience in data center management or systems engineering
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
    • Expert knowledge of VMWare ESXi
    • Expert understanding of Windows OS/Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/Bind, Failover Clustering, WSUS, SCCM
    • Expert understanding and management of mixed-forest MS Active Directory environments.
    • Professional level experience with data center equipment (Cisco UCS, Cisco MDS, HP C7000)
    • Professional level experience in managing enterprise storage systems (Pure, NetApp, EMC, 3PAR)
    • Professional level experience with backup technologies, specifically Veeam, AWS methods (S3 etc)
    • Demonstrated experience in scripting or automating repetitive tasks
    • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL and MS SQL
    • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
    • Experience working autonomously and driving projects and tasks to completion
    • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a large organization
    • Working knowledge of load balancing technology (F5, A10)
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills, good team communicator
    • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.\
